Three armed insurgents killed and nine others arrested by Afghan National Police

Counterterrorism:

During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army, NDS and Coalition Forces launched nine joint clearance operations in Nangarhar, Nooristan, Helmand, Uruzgan, Logar, Ghazni, Khost and Herat provinces.

As a result of these operations, three armed insurgents were killed and nine others were arrested by Afghan National Police.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated 14 different types of weapons, two rocket launchers, one PKM machine gun, 37 anti-vehicle mines, 43 heavy rounds, one motorbike and one vehicle.

During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused two anti-personnel mines as a result of security operation in the Hashim Khil village, Jabal Saraj District of Parwan province.

Additionally, Afghan National Police arrested two armed insurgents with one AK-47 assault rifle and one rocket launcher in the Shah Joi District of Zabul province, yesterday.
 
Crimes:
 
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained 13 individuals accused of murder, theft and assault in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 11th Districts of Kabul-City.
