Explosion in a market kill 11 people in Kandahar province

According to local authorities in southern Kandahar province at least 11 people were killed following an explosion in this province.

The officials further added the incident took place on Friday at Maroof district in a local market.

A provincial governor spokesman Jaweed Faisal confirming the report said the incident took place after a motorcycle packed with explosives went off in a market at Maroof district, killing 11 people and injuring 11 others.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
