R.I.P. - Spc. Kyle B. McClain

DOD Identifies Army Casualty
            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

            Spc. Kyle B. McClain, 25, of Rochester Hills, Mich., died Aug. 1, in Salim Aka, Afghanistan.  McClain was assigned to 1433rd Engineer Company, 507th Engineer Battalion, 177th Military Police Brigade, Kalamazoo, Mich.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A soldier based in Kalamazoo was killed in Afghanistan Wednesday.

Spc. Kyle McClain, 25, died Aug. 1 in Salim Aka, Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.

McClain was assigned to 1433rd Engineer Company, 507th Engineer Battalion, 177th Military Police Brigade out of Kalamazoo.

He graduated from Rochester Hills High School in 2005, according to his Facebook page, and he graduated from Ferris State University in 2007.
