Nigeria: JTF Kills Seven, Arrest 13 in Maiduguri

The Joint Task Force (JTF) has killed 7 and arrested 13 Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri. Confirming the incident to newsmen, the JTF spokesperson LT Col Sagir Musa said some suspected members of Boko Haram shot sporadically at JTF troops while conducting stop and search operations which led to an exchange of fire that resulted to the killing of 7 of them. According to Musa, the attack occurred on Wednesday night and no casualty on the side of JTF.

Meanwhile, the militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack on telecommunication masts in some part of northern Nigeria recently.

Recall that gunmen had on thursday unleashed mayhem on 3 northern states of Yobe, Taraba and Borno killing 16 people and destroying several mobile communication masts belonging to airtel, glo and etisalat.
