LASHKARGAH (PAN): Four militants, including a suicide bomber, were killed in Greshk and Sangin districts of southern Helmand province, an official said on Thursday.

Three fighters were killed during a clash in the Nahr-i-Saraj area of Greshk late on Wednesday night, said the provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Ilham.

He added two Kalashnikov assault rifles and a vehicle were recovered from the insurgents.

Elsewhere in the province, one would-be suicide attacker was killed and another caught alive before they could attack police in Sangin district. An explosive vest seized from the detainee was defused by International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops.
