8 killed, 25 injured as drone hits Taliban training centre

MAHMUD RAQI/PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): A NATO drone targeted a training centre of Taliban insurgents in the Tagab district of central Kapisa province, killing eight and injuring 25 others, an official claimed on Monday.

The drone strike came when a Taliban commander, Wahdat, was busy training fighters in the Badrab area, the governor’s spokesman, Qais Qadari, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Some bodies of the slain individuals were shifted to the Saleh village, but the rest remained at the training centre, he said.

Separately, two policemen and three Taliban insurgents were killed during a clash in the Zamankhel district of Baghlan-i-Markazi district of northern Baghlan province, said Brig. Gen. Ghulam Sakhi Rostaqi, the provincial police chief.
